John Day Motel

Neat room and modest, nice bed. A bath in the bathroom. Favourable, excellent location to the grassy area.

Truly enjoyed the location, it was absolutely perfect and marvellous just off local eateries, the local market that sold five pound bags for a dollar seventy nine, and stores bars and food within walking distance.

The motel was a cozy oasis after a long drive. The room felt wonderful and cute, and the staff was helpful. I appreciated having multiple tv channels and loved the cooking area in the back, perfect for my friend and me during the storm. Everything was super clean and inviting.

I loved unwinding by the fire pit and enjoying some BBQ with fellow guests, which really brought everyone together. Just a heads up, the stairs to the second floor are a bit steep, so be careful when carrying your bags 😊

You can't beat the homemade preserves at The Outpost-delicious! Plus, the staff were super friendly, and the room was cozy and clean after a long drive. And let's not forget the dog-friendly yard vibe!

No breakfast available was a bummer. It would've been nice to have a bit of a heat boost-68 degrees was a tad chilly. Oh, and parking was snug, especially with big trucks hogging space!

The friendly atmosphere and clean rooms. Although a coffee maker in the room would have been a nice addition, the overall experience was lovely. I felt welcomed and at home throughout my stay.

The staff were so cute. The rooms were super clean, and we really appreciated the fresh coffee and snacks available. Plus, being able to walk to nearby restaurants was a huge bonus for our big family.

The Queen Room was super clean and cozy, with comfy mattresses and crisp linens. Loved that it had a lot of TV channels. No noise from the road, and the shower was great. Just heard a bit from upstairs, but it didn't ruin my stay. A solid room for the price!

Had a blast with my friends here! We visited the fine John Day Fossil Beds and the local shops. The atmosphere is so friendly, and the rooms were super clean. The people running the place really care about everyone. It's not a fancy spot, but the value can't be beat. Definitely recommend staying here!
